With keen eyes for detail and paramount passion, Phoenix Eye can seamlessly transform simple ideas into vibrant and immersive videos and community and artistic showcases and workshops.
The collective is currently working on an ACTION PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER feature film shot in Western Sydney titled "Echo 8".

FOUNDER & CEO
Maria Tran has been in the film industry for the past 10 years as director, producer and founder and CEO of Phoenix Eye. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology, Western Sydney University and is known for developing the martial arts action film genre in Australia via the Asian diaspora communities of Western Sydney through her shorts such as Hit Girls, Gaffa, Enter The Dojo; her contributions on Australian television; Maximum Choppage and movies outside of Australia; Roger Corman's Fist of the Dragon, Death Mist and Vietnamese action blockbuster Tracer. During her time at Phoenix Eye, Maria has been commissioned to deliver over 12 documentaries, branded video content and serve as a cutting edge role as film director & producer.
Currently she is Directing, Producing and is the lead actress to the upcoming feature film "Echo 8".
Therese has a Certificate IV in Screen and Media and a Diploma of Visual Arts - and since becoming a part of the Phoenix Eye collective in 2017, has become a key creative, utilising a keen eye for storytelling through editing and sound design. Therese has developed and implemented projects such as Penrith City Council’s “Digital Time Capture”, “Little Baghdad Project”. She has since been a Production Assistant for the webseries NIGHTWALKERS and was the Associate Producer for the upcoming feature film 'Echo 8'.
After graduating Uni, He moved to Tokyo. He studied at the Himawari Theatre Acting School, specialising in voice training, singing, ballet, Japanese traditional dance and various martial arts.
He also became proficient in the French Bella acting system from Masako Okada, who was honoured the medal of Chevalier (Knight) of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government in 1996.
From 2013, Takashi focused on the Chinese style martial arts of Wushu, Taichi and Xing Yi quan. In 2015 he learnt traditional Chinese martial arts at the Qufu Shaoling Kung Fu school in China. After Returning to Japan, he won the Wushu championship at Otaku Tokyo in weaponry.
Elizabeth H. Vu
Elizabeth H. Vu is a screenwriter based in Sydney. She has written several short films that have been produced by filmmakers all over the world including Mr Ghost, The Radio Singer, The Equivalent of X, Level One and Under the Bed. She recently wrote a feature film called, “The Perception” starring Eric Roberts and Nick Bateman. Her frequent collaborations with Phoenix Eye include the short film, “Roses” and the upcoming webseries, “Mai Bich Planet.”
Emily hopes to inspire people by telling stories and showing them a unique perspective to things. She is most experienced in filming and editing but is also a bit of an all-rounder. When given
the chance to travel somewhere for work, Emily will do anything she can to
grab hold of the opportunity..
